| Usually i never get into a political debate on the forum BUT The UN rep did not call America stingy - he simply said that the developed countries in the world do not contribute their fair share. Secondly when he made this statement the US had pledged ONLY 35 million. After the British and Spain embarrased the US government by pledging 95 million and 67 million each - they decided to up the pledge to 350 million. Guess what Japan is pledging WAY more now. You say "WHAT a shame" - i agree - a country that uses 70 % of the world resources starts out by contributing a paltry 35 million. That IS a shame. "Why is it that always we should help the most, when we have Poverty here at home, i think we should stop helping other countrys and help our own homeless, not to mention most of them were Vets." I agree help your own - right!!! - thats why we vote republican ehh ? - - thats a whole another story i don't want to get into. "Just my opinion." RRRRRRIGHT - straight out of AM talk radio. Ohh well Harry
